From Consultation to Installation

STEP 1

Tell Us About Your AC

Call or request a consultation online and describe the breakdowns, cooling concerns, or changes that have prompted you to consider replacement.

STEP 2

Evaluate Your Current System

A technician reviews the equipment and relevant home conditions to gather the information needed for replacement planning and system recommendations.

STEP 3

Review Replacement Options

We explain the available choices, installation requirements, and proposed scope so you can ask questions before deciding how to move forward.

STEP 4

Install Your New AC

Once the plan is authorized, our team removes applicable existing equipment and installs the selected system according to the agreed project scope.

STEP 5

Test Your New System

We check operation, review the controls, and explain relevant care information before completing the project and walking you through the results.

Replacement Work Planned Around Your Home

Our AC system replacement services cover the steps involved in moving from existing equipment to a new cooling setup. Recommendations are based on your home, selected system, and installation requirements.

Existing System Evaluation

We review the current equipment, repair history, and cooling concerns to help determine whether replacement deserves consideration or a repair may still be appropriate.

Equipment Selection Guidance

Our team explains equipment options and features, helping you compare systems based on comfort, efficiency, and your home’s needs.

Cooling Capacity Review

We assess the factors relevant to system sizing rather than assuming the old unit’s capacity is correct, helping guide equipment selection for the space being cooled.

Removal and Replacement Planning

We explain how the existing equipment will be transitioned and what access or connection requirements need consideration before the approved AC replacement work begins.

Start-Up & Walkthrough

After installation, we test the new system and review basic operation, thermostat controls, and relevant care information so you understand the equipment installed in your home.

Airflow and Connection Considerations

We review ductwork, thermostat, and electrical requirements, identifying factors that may affect your new cooling system installation.

What Your AC Replacement Project Includes

We begin with an assessment of the existing setup and a discussion of what you want from your next system. You receive an explanation of the selected equipment, installation scope, and related requirements before the project moves forward.

Your replacement may include:

  • Review of existing equipment and repair history
  • Discussion of cooling and indoor comfort priorities
  • Evaluation of system-sizing considerations
  • Review of accessible ductwork and airflow conditions
  • Planning for equipment placement and work access
  • Removal of existing equipment where applicable
  • Installation of approved components and connections
  • Start-up testing and an equipment walkthrough

Our goal is to make the replacement process understandable, with clear expectations about the approved work and the system selected for your home.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Came home to a 90-degree house with the AC blowing hot air—of course, it was after hours. Thankfully, James Lorenzo was the technician on call. He arrived quickly, was professional, kind, and thorough. He showed us the part that had burned out and had our system cooling again in no time. So grateful for the fast and reliable service!

Lance Hawk was great at servicing my hvac. He went above to make sure I was taken care of. 7/9/25 update: Scott Nelson helped me through a terrible situation as a patient of Dr Gruining. He was kind, professional and very patient with me. He came last Saturday where we discovered my duct work was holding water despite my many services (and complaints of high humidity prior) and had the duct work replaced correctly in a very timely manner, even redirecting the drain that yall previously redirected (into an arra that floods with rain so it made it difficult to drain during rains. The ducts had so much water it was pulling off the back of the unit (unit NOT installed by Cool air) The cost to replace the ducts wasn't easy as a single parent who is paying a mortgage on a new place Ian took. Scott came back today thoroughly going thru checking the duct work, cleaning and checking outside unit, sanitation of duct work and even using a thermal camera to double check areas. He was kingmaker thorough and patient with me and explained everything to me. I just don't understand how long this went on with keeping up with my PMA services, but I'm very happy with Scott his work, kindness and compassion. I'm praying i can now continue to heal, although it says it will take many days to dry out home. I have one dehumidifier I'm using and moving around to try to assist dry out. Dr Gruining has been copied on all paperwork.

I had Coolair install a mini split garage AC and the installers (Julio and William) were outstanding. They were both very personable and treated our house as if it were their own. Their work was extremely neat and professional, all pipes/lines were straight and plumb, the unit looks and works great. I highly recommend Coolair. Update…(7-8-25) I was very pleased with my last two cleanings, 1st by Aaron and 2nd by Dakota. Both were very professional, explained everything clearly and answered all my questions and kept everything clean and neat. I would highly recommend either technician for your HVAC needs.

My experience with Coolair, especially with Roland Finley, was exceptional. Roland was very kind and explained what was going on with my A/C unit and guided me along the way, as a family member would. Response time was great and I am so grateful that Roland was sent my way. Thank you, Coolair and, especially ROLAND!

Signs It May Be Time to Replace Your AC

Replacing an air conditioner is a significant decision, and age alone does not tell the whole story. Repair history, cooling performance, equipment condition, and changes to your home can help determine whether another repair or a new system is the more practical choice.

  • Repairs Are Becoming More Frequent

Repeated component failures can make your current system harder to rely on during periods of heavy use.

  • Your Home No Longer Cools Consistently

Persistent comfort problems deserve an evaluation of the equipment, airflow, and conditions affecting system performance.

  • The Unit Struggles to Reach Your Settings

Long runtimes without adequate cooling may indicate declining performance or a system that no longer meets your needs.

  • A Major Repair Has Been Recommended

An expensive repair can be a reason to compare the existing system’s condition with replacement options.

  • Your Cooling Needs Have Changed

Renovations, additions, or changes to room use may require a different approach to equipment selection.

  • Older Equipment Has Multiple Concerns

Aging components, recurring service needs, and reduced dependability can make a replacement consultation worthwhile.

Choose Your Next Cooling System Wisely

If recurring repairs or declining performance have made your current air conditioner difficult to depend on, speak with Coolair Air Conditioning & Heating. We can help you compare options and plan an AC system replacement around your home’s needs.

Frequently Asked Questions

The decision depends on the equipment’s condition, repair history, current problem, and ability to meet your cooling needs. We evaluate the system and explain when repair remains practical or replacement is worth considering.

Not necessarily. The existing unit’s capacity may not be the right match, especially if the home has changed. We review relevant sizing factors before recommending equipment rather than automatically duplicating the old system.

No. Existing ducts may be suitable, but their condition and compatibility should be considered. If accessible ductwork or airflow concerns affect the proposed installation, we explain the recommended work separately within the project scope.

Timing depends on the selected equipment, access, connection requirements, and related work involved. We discuss the anticipated project sequence during planning so you understand what the installation will require before work begins.

We start up and test the equipment, review thermostat operation, and explain relevant care information. You also receive a walkthrough of the completed work so you understand the new system and any recommended next steps.
